Which products suit sensitive skin?
If your skin reacts easily, start with a short routine and add products one at a time. Every product we make is free from added fragrance and essential oils, and our face products are tested on sensitive skin under dermatological supervision.
A gentle routine to start with
- Gentle cleansing gel. A low foam cleanser that removes sunscreen and make up without leaving the skin tight.
- Hydrating serum. Hyaluronic acid and panthenol to calm redness and hold water in the skin.
- Overnight renewal cream. Bakuchiol and ceramides for the evening, a gentle alternative to retinol.
Use this for two weeks before adding anything else, so you can tell what works.
What to introduce slowly
- Balancing tonic. Niacinamide and witch hazel even out shine, but can tingle at first. Start every other evening.
- Restorative face oil. Most people with sensitive skin tolerate it well, but very oily or acne prone skin may prefer the serum alone.
Patch testing
Before using a new product on your face, apply a little behind your ear or on the inside of your elbow for two evenings. If there is no redness or itching, it is safe to try on your face.
If you are unsure where to start, write to us at hello@kinfolk.test with a short description of your skin and we will suggest a routine.
