Every Kinfolk product is vegan except the body balm, which contains organic beeswax from a small apiary in Piedmont. None of our products, or the ingredients in them, are tested on animals.

How we check

We ask every supplier for a declaration that each ingredient is free from animal derivatives and has not been tested on animals, and we renew it every year. If a supplier changes a formula, the product goes back through the check before we make another batch.

Ingredients people often ask about

• Glycerin. Plant derived, from rapeseed and coconut.
• Squalane. Made from olives, never from shark liver oil.
• Hyaluronic acid. Produced by fermentation, not from animal tissue.
• Colourants. We do not use any. The colour of each product comes from its ingredients.

Packaging

Our labels use a plant based glue, and our boxes are printed with vegetable inks. The glass bottles and aluminium refill pouches contain no animal products either.
