About
Kinfolk makes skincare in small batches in a former bakery outside Turin. Short ingredient lists, no fragrance, and glass bottles you keep for years and refill when they run low.
How we work
- Only what works
- If an ingredient does not do a job you can feel or see, it does not go in. Most of our formulas have fewer than fifteen ingredients, and every one is listed with what it does.
- Small batches
- We fill a few hundred bottles at a time, so nothing sits in a warehouse for months. Most products reach you within six weeks of being made.
- Tested on people
- Every product is used daily for eight weeks by a panel of forty people with different skin types, sensitive skin included, before it goes on sale. Never on animals.
- Bottles for years
- Our glass bottles are made to be refilled. Refill pouches are pure aluminium, they come back to us with your next order, and we recycle every one.
The studio
Seven of us make, fill, pack and ship every order. On the first Saturday of every month we open the doors: come and see how it is made, and bring your empty bottles to refill on the spot.
